Endorsements
PUDE’s endorsements are based on alignment, accountability, and commitment to the people—not party labels or political convenience.
Candidates endorsed through From the Barrio to the Ballot, PUDE’s electoral program, demonstrate a clear commitment to community wellbeing, opposition to policies that harm our people, and accountability to organized barrios. Endorsements are not symbolic; they reflect an ongoing relationship grounded in responsibility.
As part of this commitment, endorsed elected officials agree to:
-
Appear before the General Assembly of Barrios at least once per year to publicly recite and reaffirm their commitments to the people and the Assembly.
-
Maintain regular dialogue with PUDE’s coordination team to ensure continued alignment with community priorities and political direction.
-
Remain accountable to organized communities, not only to institutions or donors.
Endorsements are sustained through trust, transparency, and follow-through. They are renewed through action—not assumed.
